Isn’t the politics of hope better than hate?

History students are probably getting the eerie feeling that we’ve seen this before. This is not the first time, autocrats, xenophobic, race / ethics – struggling, individuals, have assumed leadership positions, from major nations, and overall, it hasn’t worked out, well, for most of the citizens involved! Do we really want to continue living this latest version of politics, of RUSH? Wouldn’t the best interests of our nation and all its citizens be better off if we were led by someone who practiced the politics of hope?, instead of? With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why, these days, when the level of polarization seems to be, in a, always, high, a need and priority.

1. Humanity / human; hurtful / heading; curative / harmful: What has happened to America’s humanity, when our public officials seem to ignore any dedication to humanity, or any commitment to the concept of freedom and justice for all? How can we unite, for the common good, unless / until humane treatment dominates over antagonistic, polarizing behavior and rhetoric? Where is this nation headed, if we allow any political leader to emphasize their hurtful rhetoric? We must decide, before it is too late, if we choose someone, if he is healing or harmful.

2. Attitude; attention; fitness; articulate; relieve: While we could debate whether an individual, himself, is racist, it is generally clearer to determine whether his message and language are. Many polls indicate that perhaps up to 40% of the American electorate is attracted, inspired and motivated by this negative language, when we would be better served if our overall attitude were considerably more positive and welcoming. ! The degree of attention to the big picture and the potential ramifications to which a nation’s leaders undertake, combined with a willingness to do their homework and develop a well-trained set of relevant skills and abilities, can go a long way in determining , the message, and the mood, articulated! Wouldn’t it be us? more american, if we demand, politicians articulate, a message, focused on alleviating challenges, for the common good, seeking, at the same time, a meaningful meeting of minds?

3. Timely (rhetoric, versus relevant): When President Trump promotes a message, Make America Great Again, is that either a timely concept that is relevant and emphasizes our goals, priorities and the ideals of the Founders, or is it simply empty rhetoric, focused on divide and conquer. for political reasons and your own personal interest?

Four. Empathy emotions; emphasis; energy / energize: Even the most ardent of Trump’s leading supporters should be willing to acknowledge that his background, and therefore his frame of reference, is considerably different than most of us. Therefore, you must be ready, willing and able to listen to and learn effectively from a diverse set of experiences and conversations, and proceed, with much more empathy, than meets the eye, to showcase! One’s emphasis should be on improving and energizing this nation, in a positive, productive and unifying way, rather than polarizing and adversarial!

Wake up America and pay attention to what this nation is beginning to look like! What will we become without a strong commitment to the essential principles and concepts of liberty, liberty and justice for all?
