Using inflection and intonation in your job interview

Interviewers spend a lot of time interviewing candidates. It can be very boring for an interviewer when all the applicants are basically saying the same thing. To separate yourself from the crowd, examine the tone of your voice. Your voice is an extremely powerful tool for conveying certain emotions. To appear like an intriguing and confident candidate, follow these rules:

1. Add some inflection to your words.

Professional actors often talk about using “light and shadow” in their tone. Every once in a while, raise the pitch of your voice and pick up your pace to show enthusiasm and enthusiasm for a particular topic. Speak in a lower or slower tone to convey seriousness.

2. Put emphasis on keywords.

Say keywords with a little more volume to make them stand out. This technique is equivalent to writing important words in bold. You have certain central ideas that you want to convey about yourself. Highlighting key words and ideas with your voice is a great way to do this.

3. Speak your words carefully.

4. Consider adding pauses between sentences.

Note that breaks appear at the end of sentences. You don’t want your sentences to come together. Using the proper inflection and intonation can be difficult. The ideal way to tell if you sound good is to make a recording of yourself saying the interview answers out loud.
