Fear is a state of mind

Fear is nothing more than a state of mind. YOU allow it to manifest itself in a specific entity. How does this affect your actions and thoughts as you expand your horizons? Why is this preventing you from moving towards your dreams / visions? Let’s take a closer look at this thief of your dreams.

There is nothing to fear in life. It is only to be understood.

Marie Curie

First of all, I know that everyone understands that FEAR is nothing more than false evidence that appears real. So, knowing this, why does fear have such an impact on you?

From a scientific point of view, fear originates in the reptilian or lizard brain. This smaller area of the brain tends to have a big impact on our daily lives. It takes care of automatic things like heartbeat, digestion, and breathing. The lizard brain also takes care of survival instincts. When it senses danger, it responds with fight or flight reactions. This refers to both physical and psychological dangers. This response has served us well in many aspects of our lives, but fear has become our nemesis.

We base our actions on fear every day. When we come across something new or different, we feel uncomfortable and nervous. This causes us to stop and evaluate our options. Indecision crystallizes in doubt and the combination of these two results in fear. This is where disconnections happen. We tend to rely on “gut feelings” to make decisions, so of course we stop short and choose NOT to take the next scary step.

What we don’t recognize is that fear originates from our lizard brains, not from our “instincts.” Two totally different sources of the thought processes we use every day. In fact, listening to fear separates us from Source. The Source is our true connection to inspired action. This is what helps us get into new experiences.

Many different basic fears are listed in books or magazines. If you remove the layers of any fear, you will only find two basic fears: “Am I worthy?” & “Can I be loved?” I think these two are inseparable. Let’s look at some examples, shall we?

Fear of poverty: if I don’t have enough money, I am not worthy of anything good and no one will ever love me.

Fear of criticism: I can’t bear to be criticized because it makes me feel unworthy and unloved.

Fear of losing love: it definitely brings feelings of unworthiness and not being loved.

Fear of old age: older people are ignored and discarded in society, so they would not be worthy of anyone’s love or respect.

Fear of death: this has many connotations both from a religious point of view and from a practical point of view. I will allow you to choose your own examples based on your views.

After reading these examples, does this give you something to ponder? Without conquering these fears, you will always be ruled by them. It does not mean that your fears disappear. It means that you recognize a fear when it appears and walk through it knowing that it is nothing more than false evidence that appears real. Since fear is nothing more than a state of mind; you choose, you decide.

Remember, you have absolute control over your thoughts! This is the master key to your life! Once you really understand this, you will also recognize how shocking it is. Consciousness allows possibilities for change. With this in mind, you can again see ways to move into unfamiliar territory. Yes, there is still the element of fear to deal with, but you control your reaction to fear.

This master key is intangible and very powerful. You have the privilege of creating, in your own mind, a burning desire for a definite vision or goal. You have the option to look fear in the eye and say, “I’m in charge here. Go away!” Take a step forward and conquer the “I”. Prepare your mind to receive everything that comes your way as you follow your dream.

Many of our fears are tissue thin, and a single courageous step would help us overcome them.
