Have you seen the Campbell’s Soup commercial about the two brothers playing a video game? The one where their mom calls them to eat. One video game freak tells the other, “Don’t worry. They’ll be back. They need us.” The monster then whispers, “I hear footsteps,” obviously convinced that it was the children coming to finish their game. When the mom turns off the video game, she hears “Oh no! She’s the mom!”

Most find this commercial amusing, perhaps enough to write “Campbell’s soup” on their shopping list. Not seeing anything strange about it. After all, children playing video games are common sights in our society.

Now consider the following scene: Children, perhaps your younger brothers or sisters, are playing in the schoolyard. They are running around, waving sticks in the air. Invoke spirits by shouting: “Spirits enter me.” Throughout the country, this scene is also common.

Why would children do that? Where did they teach you this?

According to the Berit Kjos website (http://www.crossroad.to), government schools from the Pacific to the Atlantic are teaching students pagan formulas for summoning “angelic” or “demonic” spirits through education multicultural, popular books and movies. and TV shows. But video games and role-playing games, like Pokémon, have only been blamed for the problem.

Ever since the release of Pokemon trading cards, kids have been leveled and beaten up by their classmates, demanding Pokemon cards. Young adults have stolen money from their mothers’ purses and others have broken into homes. Everything to collect the Pokémon trading cards.

“Once we realized the demonic force involved with Pokémon, we banned everything in our house. At first, the kids were resistant, but after we inundated them with information about how and where Pokémon were derived, they were very open to doing what was right in the eyes of the Lord,” Joni Lamb, a mother of three,. she says she.

By logging into the Poke’mon website, you will find the goal of the game explained to you. “Welcome to the world of Pokémon, a special place where people just like you train to become the number one Pokémon master in the world.”

What is a Pokémon? A Pokémon is an amazing creature that has its own unique fighting abilities. One of these creatures can grow and transform into an even more powerful creature. There are currently 150 types of Pokémon.

How do you become the number one Pokemon master in the world? In one episode, the hero boy, Ash, had gotten hold of his fifth Pokémon. According to his mentor, he had to catch a lot more Pokémon if he wanted to be a Pokémon master. The mentor told him that the more Ash caught and trained, the more power Ash would have for future battles. From this, you clearly have to catch all 150 Pokemon to get number one status.

How does Pokémon and other video games and role-playing games affect your mind? Giving you an alluring vision to become a Pokemon master. As a Pokémon master, you are guaranteed supernatural powers. Just like an addict, the more you get, the more you need. To top it off, after each episode of the Poke’mon TV series, you are commanded “you have to catch them all”.

On the Berit Kjos website, Susan Gavano, also a mother of three, says: “From what I heard, he [her son] and two others of the 23 kids in her class are the only ones who aren’t addicted. No one at his school is now allowed to bring their Poke’Mon cards, it’s gotten out of hand.”

On the Pokémon website, you’ll find tips, explanations, and announcements that encourage you to express the darker side of human nature. It will be able to link to other hidden games, such as Dungeons and Dragons. “Children’s pastors from our local church sent home information about ‘Poke’mon’ and their concern about what these little creatures represented. They had pulled descriptions of the different characters from the Pokémon website and I was surprised to read some of the alarming names and functions of these pocket monsters,” says Joni Lamb.

In these types of games, you become the master. Similar to contemporary witchcraft, you wield your power. Your arm, mind, Pokémon, or other action figures are the channel for spiritual forces. Christians are taught to say, “Your will be done,” while in these types of games, the player is taught to say, “My will be done.”

To win, the player must follow the rules. Obedience is mandatory and validated through instant rewards or positive reinforcement. After repetitive practice, the player now knows that if he obeys, he will be rewarded. It develops new habits and eventually the player learns to devalue life and will think of murder, robbery and assault as normal behavior.

Joni Lamb warns, “Poke’mon misleads and distorts clear questions of right and wrong. Pokémon take seemingly innocent creatures and empower them to empower you and delve into a spiritual realm filled with darkness.”

As Christians, how should we determine if a game is occult? First, what does the game teach you? About power? About magic? About God? About yourself? Look for obvious and subtle messages. Second, does it have something to do with supernatural power? What is the source of that power? Do you agree or disagree with what God says in the Bible? Third, what does it teach about violence or immorality and its consequences? Fourth, does the game have any symbols or features that link it to New Age or occult powers? Fifth, does it build godly character?

Remember that God tells us in Philippians 4:7-8, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is good, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think in such things.”

Once you have been involved with Pokémon or hidden RPGs, you should do the following:

1) Get rid of trading cards, video games, taped episodes, anything that has Pokemon on it.

2) you must repent of your involvement in the occult. God says in I John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and he will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Ask God to wash you in the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross and cleanse you from your sin.

3) you must not get involved in the occult again. Don’t start watching the Pokémon TV series again or meet people who are Pokémon dealers.

Don’t take my word for it, research Pokemon for yourself and ask God for wisdom on the matter. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him.” Pray for God’s guidance. He will never lead you wrong.
