Speech Stress Analysis: Real, Viable Consumer Technology for Truth Verification… for Everyday Use

… PRAYED

Promoting greater truth and honesty is important to most relationships. Biometrics can help… a lot…

-Is the other person who you think is your faithful friend or partner really honest with you?

-Is the other person really who you think they are?

-What if you have a way of feeling the ‘deceit’ so that no one can lie to you anymore?

Voice Stress Analysis (VSA) is a very real, viable and applicable technology for truth verification.

…for daily use. Why? – Because it is effective in separating the less stressful act of telling the truth,

from all the other ‘grey’ answers. Filter ‘all the good ones’ from the ‘rest’; for example, those

innocent of insurance fraud or a crime. It’s more:

-VSA technology has always been accessible to anyone on the Internet; It’s just technically ‘messy’

from an audio recording to viewing/listening to selective results.

-VSA is a reliable vs. perfect ‘lie detector’ per se, as such responses are sometimes caused

by other emotions such as confusion, reluctance, etc.

-VSA can help act as a ‘sixth’ sense… by eliminating most responses as truthful and sincere (the

silence)… clearing up any doubts about his honesty and integrity – GOOD NEWS

-VSA alerts are cause for concern in any case. While it may not always indicate a deceptive lie, it does indicate

some stressful condition that causes the reaction: delusion or confusion, attention, anger, excitement,

unwillingness etc – everything possibly important to know or find out more – WORRY, it might as well be a lie.

All muscles in the body, including the vocal cords, vibrate in the range of 8 to 12 Hz… This is known

be caused by the production and release of a chemical, as explained in the Scientific American

Article “Psychological Tremor” Vol. 224, No. 3, 1971.

-Some people have higher stress and others have low, and the averages change from one day to the next.

with humor What all people have in common is that their stress levels are constantly changing.

within its current range – changes that indicate the “perceived danger” or “danger” of

statements that are made. A lie is often dangerous, humiliating or harmful to get caught, so lies

Tends to excel at voltage measurements

-In moments of stress, such as when you tell a lie that you dare not get caught, the body prepares to

fight or flight by increasing the readiness of your muscles to spring into action. its vibes

increases from the relaxed 8-9 Hz range, to the stressful 11-12 Hz range.

-It is not the ‘lie’ itself, but the fear, concern or other emotional stress about a ‘misleading lie’, which

triggers visual or audio alerts on voice stress and voice emotional analysis.

-An unscrupulous person could tell extensive casual lies to these unanswered programs – as is

evident in tests with ‘mock’ scenarios. But when the same person talks about significant issues, these

programs detect stress.

VSA consumer applications include public freeware such as TruthVSA3 (Windows), Prevaricator (Windows),

LiarLiar (Linux) and ShakyVoice (PPC). Or, you can also purchase software such as Ex-Sense (Windows),

Fortress (Windows – ‘abandonware’), LieSpy (Nokia only), KishKish (Skype) or X13-VSA (Windows) – all

available online.

You do it all yourself or use a service, but the most critical issue for good feedback is good audio.

Record your subjects’ responses. There are some simple, but very important guidelines to follow:

-Relaxed, non-threatening environment: (less controlled environments)

-No ‘mock’ testing: never try to apply tests in ‘mock’ (made up) scenarios (i.e. never ask how

the subject feels in an ‘imagined’ situation)

-Take a “positive” approach: apply the general approach with the MAIN intention of confirming that

your subject is not misleading when making a statement or answering a question; Candid recording is

better; The next best thing is clever Q&A staging.

-“Important” issues: ask questions or start a conversation about “important” issues that are raised

emotional responses (for example, your opinion on a controversial issue); Record 5-15 brief, to the point

statements; If possible, ask at least one question that could be a lie.

-ALWAYS be aware of the law in your own state: Laws vary from state to state. In most states, including

California, you can record and analyze people as long as they give their consent. In other places, it is legal to execute a

analysis if only one party to the conversation (you, rather than your subject) consents to the recording

Start by simply making an audio recording. VOIP users only need software for that; others need to call /

sound recording software and a phone (or a tape recorder). Then “process” your recording and

analyze it in search of truths or anomalies (stress or lies); Consider using 2-3 free VSA programs to compare.

The power to harness consumer VSA technology for your benefit, to verify the truth, is now in your hands. Everybody

the software is on the net (most of it is free) and you know the basic guidelines for producing ‘good’

answers (those that give a real idea).
