The Detroit Pistons are looking to make a statement on the road, facing LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Can LeBron James continue the 1-on-5 magic from last year’s NBA Playoffs against the Pistons?

LeBron James pulled off an upset over the Detroit Pistons in last year’s NBA Playoffs, almost single-handedly. LeBron James didn’t have to beat the Detroit Pistons in that series, but there he was, an embarrassment, to say the least, for Detroit. The Pistons are the last team that will take a star by taking them down lightly. The Pistons pride themselves on being a team that’s a team, with no one player being the spotlight on them much more than the others.

The Detroit Pistons are a proud bunch, to say the least. They also have the memory of an elephant, and tonight for them will surely be a game of declarations. At 49-18, the Pistons have already made quite a few statements this season, sitting comfortably at No. 2 in the NBA East.

The No. 4 Cleveland Cavaliers have a 38-30 record and have been under the radar in the East this NBA season, thanks to the rise of the Boston Celtics and the continued excellence of the Pistons. The Cavaliers are 22-10 at home, while the Detroit Pistons are 30-10 flawless against the East.

The Pistons are riding a three-game winning streak, and are still hopeful of trying to catch the Boston Celtics for the top spot in the NBA East, even though they are 5 games behind. The Cavaliers will likely end up in their current spot, which would mean a first-round NBA Playoff series with home-court advantage.
