At some point in our internet marketing careers, it is inevitable that our eyes will be drawn to the potential that comes from creating our own internet marketing products. Let’s face it… if we get to the point where we can make money selling other people’s products, it would be crazy to leave money on the table by not taking the next step of creating and promoting our own.

But for those of us looking to make the switch from affiliate marketing as a seller, to affiliate marketing as a merchant, the product creation element that is so integral to the change can feel like a quantum leap. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be this way.

The good

Desperate Buyers Only has been one of the best investments I have ever made in my internet marketing education. It’s not just that the book has a ton of great information, which is true, it’s because of the way it’s presented. If you are new to internet marketing, you will almost certainly have a ‘come to Jesus’ moment. Alexis not only breaks down a few concepts you can use to make money and leaves you wondering how they apply to the bigger picture, she provides a structural framework that makes sense of the process of creating and selling your own information products.

I was just glad I made the purchase because at least it helped me understand what the hell I was supposed to be doing. I already knew much of what was in the book from the many exhausting hours I spent surfing the net, trying to retrieve all the unadulterated nonsense to find the rare pearl of wisdom that lies beneath. What he hadn’t figured out was how to fit it all into a process that was practical and worked. Desperate buyers only largely solved this.

The book takes you step by step through a very important process:

  1. Find a suitable market;
  2. Creating fast yet compelling content in a style your readers will love;
  3. How to reach your market and find your desperate buyers;
  4. How to create that all-important sales copy to convert browsers into buyers;
  5. Setting up a site that sells.

Alexis even provides specific examples of product sites she’s created to better demonstrate how the process works.

What I really liked was that Desperate Buyers Only ditches the typical self-effacing tirade that is all too common in information products. Not once will you be asked to buy any other e-book the author has created or is selling. Most of what you need is right there on the 90-odd pages of rich content.

The bad

There are a couple of things not covered in the book that, had they been included, really could have made Desperate Buyers Only the mother of all products.

For starters, the issue of generating traffic to make your chosen market aware of your product is, in my opinion, a pretty significant omission, although it may have been deliberate. There are some outstanding tips that are aimed at generating sales, and while the subject is perhaps too broad to explore in detail, it is such an essential part of the sales process that it perhaps deserves more attention. You can have the best product in the world, but if no one knows about it, it will do you little good.

Desperate Buyers Only also addresses the question of managing your affiliate sales, or the potential to generate sales through joint venture agreements or similar vehicles. These are also important steps in maximizing your return on investment in product creation, but to be fair, they could just as easily form eBooks themselves. The options are perhaps too numerous to assign to a single chapter.

Fortunately, these are dynamic readers that can be overcome with a little extra research. In fact, I’ve included an additional BONUS if you decide to buy Desperate Buyers Only on this site, which should go a long way in fixing any potential issues.

The thin one

If you’re new to internet marketing, you simply can’t stop learning from this book. Even if you’re pretty savvy about instant messaging, there are elements of Alexis’ presentation on how to really engage buyers that still make the content worth the investment. It’s a solid, straightforward take on what it takes to expand your own empire and add to your repertoire.

Additionally, the customer service I have personally received from Alexis Dawes has been exemplary. I even recently lost my hard drive, and even a few months after the original purchase, I was able to email them and they sent me a new download link within hours.

Now, if you’ve spent any time looking at internet marketing product reviews, you’ll of course now appreciate that most reviewers are also looking to convince you to buy the book using their affiliate link (if you don’t know what that means… .in a few words it means that we get a commission for making the sale). I am no exception, and I make no apologies in this case because it is a great book. However, my goal in this review is to give an idea of ​​what the product offers the reader and to help you in your decision as to whether the book might be of value to you. Buy it for me, don’t buy it for me, I don’t care… but buy it!

I know $77 is a lot for an e-book. It is probably one of the most expensive purchases I have ever made. It’s also one of the few that I haven’t regretted.
