There is no doubt that inbound links are the most influential component when building a website’s authority – the higher the authority of the website, the better it will rank in search engines, especially Goggle.
However, building natural and relevant links is more important than getting irrelevant bad links. That is why the best way to recover links to your website is by partnering with other websites with the same or a related topic to yours; I’m not talking about reciprocal links actually being bad for your website’s ranking, but having a partner website owning the same or related topic as yours link to your website on one of their content pages is where the value lies
Goggle places a high value on a link from a page of content on a website of the same topic as the websites it links to. Links that come from a link page are of little value, since obviously link building is artificial, but a link from a content page shows a real link to something of real value.

My inbox is constantly flooded with endless requests from webmasters asking for link exchanges. To be clear: creating pages example.com/link.html will do nothing for your rankings. Google discounts these outbound links and seriously reduces the weight of the inbound links.
Cost/benefit: Don’t get involved in this strategy and don’t play the silly game of quickly unlinking them so they appear as one-way links; is another sign of spam that won’t get you far. Instead, develop relationships with other expert webmasters and exchange links deep within pages where there is semantic relevance. News portals frequently sign this type of association agreement.

Remember, link building is a process of constant growth. One of the reasons you like link baiting is because it’s fun and creative. Find something you enjoy creating and use it as a method of generating inbound links. That way, link building will be part of your daily routine, not another unrealistic marketing resolution.
