Teach your child to love and respect animals through the love and care of a cat

Having a kitten or a cat is a great opportunity to teach
your child to love and respect animals! Of course he can
teach your child to love any animal, be it a dog, a bird or a fish,
but a cat can be a special opportunity for a young child!

In fact, your son’s view of his own children
when she grows up she will be *strongly* influenced by what you
Teach him and show him about your new cat.

Start by telling him about your new kitten’s vaccinations.
you will need and *why* you need them If it is not clear
yourself about your new cat’s medical needs, my new book
“Your New Cat’s First 24 Hours,” http://www.yourcatsecrets.com talks
about it in detail, or you can check with your local
veterinarian.

Then you can tell him about your new kitten’s needs: his food
bowl, cat scratcher, litter box, toys and bed. In fact
you can take your child shopping with you, either
the local pet store or online.

Once you’ve bought everything you need, you’re good to go
to go find your new kitty. Take your child to the animal shelter
or pet store, and let her play with some of the animals.
Remember, though, that if the kitten is going to be your child’s cat
–and not yours– be sure to choose the animal your child
unites with, not another for other reasons.

When you bring your new cat home, be sure to closely supervise
her son while playing with his new kitten. make sure she
it’s not too rough. Teach him to be gentle by *showing* what
that means.

Help your child feed him and when it’s time to take out
the (you know what) of the sandbox, make sure your child
is involved.

If you spend time with your child on every aspect of the cat
ownership, she will develop love, respect and responsibility
that will last your whole life!
